2011 British Historic Rally Championship
Round 4: Sat 4th June - Severn Valley Stages (gravel)
Following a successful test session at Walters Arena the team were expecting an upsurge in form at this event. The car (and engine!) performed faultlessly and Rob / Shaun were challenging for the overall lead for much of the rally.
Tyre wear problems eventually caused a couple of costly spin / stalls which dropped the team to an eventual 4th place.
The crew were very encouraged with the cars increased and improved performance / driveability so were a little upset that the results on paper dont reflect this.

Round 1: Sun 6th March - Mid Wales Stages (gravel)
After very limited testing the team arrived at Newtown for the start of Shauns home event.
SS1 (Hafren / Sweet Lamb) went ok , although Rob was immediately aware that he had selected the wrong rear tyres for the slippery conditions. A very encouraging 4th place O/A time was pretty good considering. A change of tyres for SS2 was undertaken and the crew left service to really push on the next SS2 / SS3 loop.
Unfortunately an engine problem sidelined the car at the arrival control of SS2. This was not fixable by the crew so retirement beckoned.
The engine has already been removed and stripped for inspection. Hopefully the car will be back together soon.
